Display issues.

I installed movie studio 12 on my new, win 10 laptop which has a Hi res screen (3840 x 2160). Fields overlapped each other and made them useless as well as being so small they were illegible. Then I read movie studio 13 resolved these issues and had additional features. When the box arrived from Amazon, I uninstalled 12 and installed 13. Except my OS still claims I'm still running version 12 and the display is identically unusable.
A lot of money spent and a film to edit; I'd expected better from Sony.
Unless there is something I'm missing?
Jon.

A similar issue here.
You might want to do a "Search" for discussions. Words: 4K monitor, Forum: Vegas Pro - Video, Date: Last 2 Years.

Read also SCS KB 5167 in case it might help the software function properly.

Thanks vkmast, it turned out to mostly be my ignorance of win 8 &10 (which I had avoided until now). Logged in as the default user account, didn't have the authority to actually remove the earlier version. Creating the administrator account solved this and installed studio 13 correctly. The rest I can live with for now although why a 4K app doesn't really run on a 4K monitor is something Sony are working on - one assumes.
