Documentation for Movie Studio 17 is Blank - Buggy install process

Upgraded by Movie Studio to 17 and downloaded the PDF documentation. When I open, all I see is the 1st and 2nd page. All other pages are blank. In playing with 17, I loss how to get to Power Mode and I was hoping that documentation could help me put things back to normal.

What's going on? Also, the install process isn't seamless, I opted to download and install only 1-Movie Studio 17, 2-DVD Architect, & 3-Music Maker. For each of the 3 items, I see 100%. For example, first, it would download Movie Studio. A message in German would popup. Under Progress, I see 100%, then it would just HANG there - nothing happening. I would then cancel the process and run the Install Again. It would pickup with DVD Architect. A message in German would popup again. I would see 100%, then it would HANG again. Starting the install again, it picks up with Music Maker and again HANG. I am uploading a screenshot of this message.

Finally, I when I ran the Install process, it ran the installation for Movie Studio to completion.

I am running Windows 10 64bit on a ThinkPad with 32GB of memory.

1. Open that pdf not with Edge, but with Adobe Acrobat Reader or Google Chrome.

2. Start those installations as admin. and let Windows Defender not block it.

@FayFen Unfortunately no which is a pity, as being able to look at the User Guide / Manual for a programme gives a good insight into its capabilities. Most other editing programmes seem to make their manuals available to all. Last year I downloaded the Pinnacle manual to help a friend who uses Pinnacle!

Pinnacle has no trial options and never had the last 10 years. Magix software has all trials for 30 days, that is the best marketing I think.

Don't know if the trial allows you to access the manual from your MAGIX Account (Instructions).

And the 30-day free trial does give you an insight to the capabilities as @j-v implies.

I don't think so, but in the trial there are all the helpfiles available a new or unknowing user needs.

Hi, This is not a trail version. I paid for the upgrade. According to "j-v", I have to use Chrome. When I do that, I can see the PDF. By default, when I clicked on the PDF, it runs under Edge and that didn't work. The first two pages were ok, but not the rest. I don't know why, maybe someone at Vegas may know, but I don't see this problems with other PDF documents. Thank you.

Thank you for your suggestion. It works. I can now see the document. Also, it would have been great had Vegas had that in their installation instruction "run as admin". My program is installed, but it was a bit disconcerting when I saw the message in German. "Oh boy, what did I do now?" Thanks.
