Does CTRL-] still work in Vegas 15 ? (skip to end of current selection

GoodEnough wrote on 4/13/2019, 11:35 AM

In 13, I would use CTRL-[ and CTRL-] to jump the cursor to the start and end of the current selection.

In 15, CTRL-[ still jumps to the start,
but CTRL-] also goes to the start, not the end.

Am I doing something wrong ?
How do you skip to the end of the current selection?

Same here in my VMS 15. In my VMS 15 Platinum at least NumPad 9 skips to the end of the selected event and NumPad 7 to the start.

Wait, I just tested VMS13 and CTRl-] does not go to the end of the selection either

Was I just imagining this, and only ever used CTRL-[ to go the the start?

Numpad 7 = HOME

numpad 9 = PAGE UP

Page-UP just jumps to the next timeline section marker. It does not go to start/end of selection.

HOME goes to start of file, not selected event.

Do you have the Platinum version?

From online Help in Platinum:

"Enter edge-trimming mode and select event start; move to previous event edge - Numeric keypad 7

Enter edge-trimming mode and select event end; move to next event edge - Numeric Keypad 9 "

As I said earlier, these work for me only in Platinum. ("for a few extra dollars Platinum offers [much] more")

(The KB shortcuts including "[" or "]" do not seem to work for me anyway, due maybe to my non-US KB layout.)

This is how my MSP16 works as well, with the numpad on. Pressing 9 will skip to the end of the selected event, pressing 9 again will select the next event, and pressing 9 again will then move to the end of this newly selected event.
