Don't know if everyone is getting the special offer on SoundForge PRO

D7K wrote on 6/26/2019, 9:43 AM

I picked up Samplitude Movie Studio when it looked like acid was at the end of the line, and for my uses with a keyboard and lots of VST's found it a better tool. I have a good VST orchestra and lots of music clips, as we all know sound/music is often the key to making a video "better".

I've gotten the offer over several days to upgrade from Samplitude MS to Samplitude PRO X4 suite (includes SoundForge PRO as well as Celemony Melodyne Essentials) for $150. As I've recently (in the last week) rekindled my interest in producing a long arch, episodic series I've brought my stage piano/synth out of storage and jumped at this offer.

This is a serious music/sound suite and at this price it completes raises what I can do musically (although the MS version is very powerful also) and was for me a killer deal. I don't think this is an "Upgrade only offer" and it is good until June 30th.

I have no association financially with Magix but this is a great deal.

@j-v why not? Even though Sound Forge and other AUDIO software now belong to another section of Magix, this is relevant info for VP users AFAIC. Many of us forget that https://www.magix.info/us/ even exists.

Ignorance is Bliss, right? I posted this in the sound section because both Samp and SF are relevant I think, especially at this price.

Has all nothing to do with Vegas software.
When this was a Magix only forum >>>>OK.
I know a lot of things and programs that will be cheap and help also Vegas users, but in my opinion as a long time former moderator this maybe can get some place on this forum under the off-topic posts.

But it is only my opinion, folowing your remarks on something maybe belongs to this forum, and I only placed my question marks.🙂

Perhaps its because I think of Vpro, Sound Forge, and Samplitude as a suite of products that are useful and necessary in the type of videos I do as an maturer. Since you can round trip sound in these programs I really wonder why there is not a Magix Suite that adds SF, Acid, Samplitude, DVD Architect and Vegas as a "video production studio"

I think that on this moment your thinking and wishing goes a little far in the near future, but we will never know.😁

Not exactly that, but Magix does have Vegas Production Pack. It includes Vegas Pro 16 (w/ DVD A), Sound Forge Pro 12, SpectraLayers Pro 5 and XARA Designer Pro 5.

@D7K

Just a slight correction to your first post. I think that you meant Samplitude Music Studio, not Movie Studio.

And yes, the upgrade to Samplitude Pro X4 Suite is an excellent deal at 150$! Samplitude can be set as one of the external audio editors in Vegas. Samplitude Pro X4 Suite contains an extensive Cleaning & Restoration Suite, including Spectral Cleaning. For anyone wanting a lot of VST instruments, the Suite version comes with the full complement of Independence instruments.

About the additional software, version 11 of SoundForge Pro comes with it rather than the current 13. We can only guess that this is to entice users who like it to upgrade to 13.

Celemony Melodyne Essential - great, but even greater was the discounted offer that Melodyne had a while back for Melodyne 4 Assistant for current users.

@vkmast

The price for Vegas Production Pack looks far too high for a bundle and I don't see any option for upgrading anything. Also, I am wondering why Magix is offering SoundForge Pro 12 and not 13.

As for SpectraLayers Pro 5, I think that SpectraLayers has been sold off to Steinberg, so 5 will likely be the last offering from Magix.

Still, it is an interesting offer. Magix should probably try some other combinations.

Vegas Pro 18 Edit, Vegas Movie Studio 16 Platinum, Magix Video Pro X16, Magix Movie Studio Platinum 2024, Xara Designer Pro X19, Samplitude Pro X8 Suite, Music Maker 2025 Premium, SF Audio Cleaning Lab 4, Sound Forge Pro 16 and more.

Samplitude Music Studio Correct.
