Just ready to download Vegas Movie Studio 16 Platinum. Upgrading from VMS12 platinum..... I am in a middle of a large project.... should I wait till till I am finished with it or Download it and wait till my project is finished?

I'd suggest you finish your present project in your current program. You can download and install the new version now or later. Both programs are separate installations and you do not need to uninstall older versions.
