Download Manager closes after launching.

Hello everyone. I have a problem with my download manager where it closes within half a second after opening it, (I can see it flash in front of me and then it disappears). I don't get any error messages and the only thing in the event viewer is the compatibility assistant trying to run the downloader again. I've extracted the contents of the downloaders and tried to run them manually, but they all close right after loading up.

It doesn't matter which version I try to use, 14, 15, 16, Pro Edit, Pro, Studio, they all do the same thing. I tried running the downloader on a fresh install inside of a VM, same thing. Would anyone happen to know how to resolve something like this, or have a link to the Pro Edit 14 offline installer?

Windows 7 Pro, 32G RAM, AMD FX Octal core, 7800 ATI GFX.

Thank you so much for reading this.

@Blerg I've moved your post to the Pro section as you're more likely to get responses there.

Thank you. I couldn't choose that when I created the post.

Any open windows on the screen that may be hiding the wizard? Checked the buttons on the Taskbar?

The manager isn't in task manager, so I don't think it's hiding behind something.

I'm not offline, nor am I attempting to activate it offline. I just want a download that installs the program. I bought bought the software in a Humble Bundle, so it is a legitimate copy, (at least I hope it is). Are there any specific Windows 7 64 updates that are required for downloading?

Thanks.

Okay, found the issue. The download manager was attempting to connect to the IP address: 72-21-91-70, and when it failed to do so, it closed out. After it's first connection to that IP, the software loads up even after I block it again. All I know about that IP address is that it belongs to Verizon, and things are pointing to me having malware. I blocked the whole Verizon IP range earlier not knowing where/why my traffic was going there.

Thanks for all of your help.
