Effects window not showing up

I was editing a video one time when I clicked on the effects button next to the video clip that I wanted to edit. The effects window didn't show up. Funny. Now this has happened every time I want to edit effects. I have no idea what I did to make this happen. How can I solve this problem?

I think it is hiding somewhere on your screen, therefore look good were that possible hidingplace can be. Look where it can be hided.

Thanks for mentioning this! The window was hiding behind the taskbar for whatever reason. Silly me.
