Error - 14

I tried activating Movie studio 16 on a new device with Windows 10 and keep getting the same error over and over again. Its purchased from the website, I have an email with the license number, which I quadruple checked. Typed it digit by digit, copy/pasted it/, deactivated the old device and tried activating the new one again. Installed/ de installed the software again - nothing. FAQ does not contain any helpful information as the standard answer does not work.

If this comment did not help either, you probably need to Ask Support.

I'm sure you noted that MS and MS Platinum are two separate applications.

This error is most common when you are trying to register a product with a serial number for a different product. As vkmast suggested, double check to make sure you have the correct VEGAS Movie Studio application.

Hi, Thanks! Indeed, it was Movie Studio Platinum and not simply Movie Studio. It might be nice to add that to your FAQ as possible solution as well! And about asking support - honestly - after going around in loops for an hour trying to find a proper contact form or link to it (its not a technical question, nor a know-how issue...), I could not find any way to get in touch with Customer support. So I wrote here...
