They are already saved on your PC if you ran that DLM.
You can stop the DLM when the download is completed before the installation begins or wailt untill the files are also installed as a program with extra's on your computer.
Look in your location for your documents and you will find them there:

??:\My Documents\MAGIX Downloads\Installationsmanager

Thanks for the information. I have not run the installer because I'm not going to keep the software if the files are not available. Since j-v says they are, maybe I'll give that a shot. Does the installer delete the executables after it downloads them? Do I have to be quick to prevent them from being deleted, or are the files left in place after the installation?

Regarding the site vkmast posted, I don't see the full installation files. All I see are the DLM files for Vegas Movie Studio 16. Am I overlooking the install files for Vegas Movie Studio 16 Suite?

You won't get the files until you run the DLM. It will present you with a list of the files available to you and you then select what you want to download and install.

And if you installed the files through that Download manager you will have an account at Magix where you can always and at any time are able to download your bought files files and store them somewhere or burn them on disc.

vkmast, I'm familiar with that screen, but the question I must not be asking clearly is whether the files listed in that screenshot will still be available on the hard drive after I run the DLM. If so, the problem is solved. A lot of companies download the installation files with strange names and then delete them after the installation is complete. If I'm following here, you're suggesting that the files are not deleted after the installation. I'm sorry to be so anal about it.

@patlaw they are indeed available as the two colleagues above have said. j-v even mentioned the location as well. From the FAQ: "The "download managers" are small (typically approx. 4MB). When run, they will fetch a much larger (e.g. 400-450MB), main installer for the current release, along with other bundled plugins and apps that are listed in section 5 below."

I gave you the location where they will be stored after dowload and than they are yours on that own location. I always replace them to the location where I store all my recent and 3 years earlier files because there comes always updates for this program and that will be continued (I think 😉)

The availability of direct links in that FAQ was also mentioned, cf. the screenshot. It is recommended though to use the download manager when you first install the program.
