It appears that MVP17 does not recognize my DVD when I try to extract audio from a CD. Not sure why, this feature worked in SVP13 fine. Recently upgraded to 17 and now it does not seem to work in either version? when I try to extract I get this window with no available options recognized in Drive drop down menu?...
Other apps on my computor recognize the DVD drive. Any ideas how I might fix this?

Just checking the obvious. You do have a CD in the drive?
"You do have a CD in the drive?" ..and.. is it an 'Audio CD'
MP3s and other audio formats would need to copy/pasted like other data files. Audio CDs have a playlist and embedded PCM audio data that cannot be directly copy/pasted.

I suspect I'm not describing the problem that well. I have one DVD drive/burner in my computor and while other apps recognize it, MVP17 does not (with a cd or not). As the above image shows, all I get is a "No Device" in the device drop down list. I have extracted audio from cds in the past using SVP13 on this computor, so I'm stumped as to why this might be happening now. Seems that something must be turned off if the preferences that I haven't found yet?...
Any other suggestions :)
...just discovered i have a copy of SVP13 on an old 2nd computor and threw a random cd into it's drive, and it can extract audio from CDs. Don't know if this helps but shows the what this window should look like... and yes it extracts audio to the timeline.
