(FIXED!) Vegas Pro 20 Won't open

EDIT: Fixed by renaming OFX folder and then deleting some plugins.

I just installed Vegas Pro 20.0 and it won't open.

 

I have had Vegas Pro 14 and 15 on this computer before but I have uninstalled them completely.

 

The loading screen gets to "Creating video plug-in factory..." waits for a few seconds, and then, poof, it shuts itself down without warning or fanfare.

 

I'm running a Desktop PC with a GTX 1060 and Ryzen 1600, and 16 GB of RAM.

Wait, so sorry! I was stuck for about an hour or so when I had posted, but going back over the FAQs I realized I hadn't tried renaming the OFX folder yet. Sure enough, it was an old 3rd party effect. Thanks, and sorry about that!

I'm a bit techy illiterate so I don't know what the OFX folder is or where it is and how to find and change it.

Sorry, my lack of tech savvy is coming through. When I go to this file, what do I then do? Do I change the file name of the Plugins, or the OFX file itself, or the individual files in the plugins file? I need a bit of a step by step thing.

Thank you for that help. I did make a rather startling discovery yesterday. I couldn't open the software again so just for yuks I clicked the task manager. Normally if Vegas isn't working, it shows up near the top of the list. It wasn't there so I scrolled way down and discovered that there were over ten vegas's running in the background for no apparent reason. I ended the tasks on all of them and now, it fires right up. Any time I can't get it to open now, I scroll way down in task manager and find that it is open already for no apparent reason reason. Just running in the background. That seems to have solved it, but I'm keeping your instructions just in case.

bro my Vegas wont open when i start it, its having the same problem as yours and I don't know how to fix it

I just installed Vegas Pro 21.0 and it won't open. I want to work on a project before my trial expires.
