Frequent Crashes on Movie Studio 16 Platinum (Steam Edition)

The build is #175.

The crashes seem to be random: mostly when I either insert media or navigate the timeline. Luckily, I haven't gotten a crash during rendering, but it seems everything else can crash the program. I'v already tried turning GPU acceleration of video processing on/off, to no avail.

Is there a possible fix I could try, or do I need to seek a refund?

  • 16 GB DDR4 RAM
  • Intel Core i7 9700F

Can you please give us detailed information on the media you are trying to insert on the timeline?
