Interesting article on GoPro open sourcing Cineform. Wonder if Vegas 16 take advantage, might make a nice proxy format or intermediate format. I know Vegas already supports cineform, but only to the degree that GoPro allows. Open Source would mean access to the high modes of operation.

Just saw the tweet from both Jake Seagrave and David Newman about this... I think this is the right way to go and had been hoping it would happen. What do others think the pros and cons are of Cineform going open source?
