Hitfilm Support in Vegas

animagic wrote on 10/19/2016, 1:45 AM

I bought Sony Vegas 13 Suite at the time, which was a real suite as it included a full version of HitFilm. I understand that Magix Vegas 14 does not include HitFilm, but are the plugins still supported? I have not upgraded Vegas 13 yet as I feel that still many issues need to be resolved (speed and handling large projects for example), but I am interested in the experiences of others.

Overal Vegas 13 works fine for my (except for GPU render support), so there has to be a real benefit for my to upgrade.

As you probably know, you can't directly connect with Hitfilm via Vegas 14 as in the past.

However, with my existing Hitfilm 2 Ultimate, all these FX are working in Vegas 14.  Perhaps you should download a trial of Vegas 14 and see what you get?

Thanks, cold ones, I'll try that.

When you installed Hitfilm 2 Ultimate did you have to activate it through Sony or FXHome? The reason I ask is I was downloading some new software from FXHome and they said that all previous versions needed to be uninstalled. So i uninstalled HF2U. I then went back to install and I was told I needed a license. I have no record of activation. I have all the activation keys for all of the SONY MS Platinum suite 13, But not the one for Hitfilm2 U. FXHome says that SONY Did not include the full HF2U in the Suite, but I wouldn't have gotten it no other way. Since MAGIX took over SONY, this may have caused confusion. I just want to know how you activated it, so I can go back to FXHome and tell them how it was activated. Thanks

Is there a time limit for posting?

Is there anything about HitFilm 2 Ultimate on your FXhome.com account?
