I want to buy a vegas pro 16, but I can't. What should I do?

MAGIX only sells the most recent version of Vegas Pro that being version 19. You will need to search the internet for sellers of Vegas Pro 16 with the following caveats: any website selling Sony Vegas Pro 16 is going to be a pirate website, there are lots of people being caught out buying Vegas Pro on Amazon and getting serial numbers that don't work, and if buying from a private seller you are relying on them to transfer ownership with MAGIX from them to you.

You might want to keep an eye on Steam or Humble Bundle to see if they ever put an Vegas Pro 16 offer up again.

Why particularly Vegas Pro 16? Why not opt for Vegas Pro 19? - it will probably be less expensive than Vegas Pro 16 in some cases.

As Dexcon recommends, the current VEGAS Pro 19 would probably be a better option if your hardware meets the system requirements. Please see if this helps https://www.vegascreativesoftware.com/kr/

Just a thought ... I wonder if the OP is wanting to buy Vegas Pro 16 in order to get DVD Architect Pro? But then Vegas Pro 15 would be better so as to get the AC3 Pro plugin if the full AC3 experience is wanted.

@Dexcon VEGAS Pro 15 and 16 came with VEGAS DVD Architect (7).

@vkmast ... Yes, you are right. My memory must be failing me. I never got DVDA Pro 7 because I stuck with DVDA 6. If I remember correctly - now - the last AC3 Pro in Vegas Pro was in Vegas Pro 13. Vegas Pro 14 onwards didn't have AC3 Pro - only AC3 stereo?

@Dexcon  I originally used the Vegas Pro 15. but, I want use motion tracking. MY cpu is Intel Core i5-4670 @ 3.40GHz, and I heard there is a stability issue after version 16, so I would like to use version 16. But if Vegas Pro 19 is better than 16, I will buy 19. Is my cpu suitable to use version 19?

vkmast wrote on 3/17/2022, 6:52 AM

It's a 4th Generation i5 processor. The requirements are re CPU: 6th Generation Intel Core i5 (or AMD equivalent) or better with 2.5 Ghz and 4 Cores.

You should test with the free time-limited trial version available from the website. https://www.vegascreativesoftware.com/us/free-trials/video-editor-free-download/

@lolzzz  ... the recommended minimum specifications for Vegas Pro 19 are:

https://www.vegascreativesoftware.com/us/specifications/#productMenu

If you are working only with HD or below on your computer (i.e. not 4K), Vegas Pro 19 will likely work but most probably without the three AI FX working.

The best suggestion is to download and install the trial version of Vegas Pro 19 and test it for yourself.

Stability concerns have always been raised by some with every version from my first version of Vegas Pro - 10 - onwards - and the reason may not always be directly related to Vegas Pro but very often to the computer's GPU.

lolzzz I am using an i5-3570K @4GHz (3rd Gen) with V19 with no problems, all features work fine. I also have a 1080Ti GPU which also works well. My media is always Sony XAVC-S at 4K. AI also works fine.
