How can I change my avatar?

Click on your avatar icon on the top right of a forum page. It is to the right of the NEW COMMENT box. Select My Profile
You should now be in your profile page
In the top left is your avatar. Click on this and it should change to a camera icon and then to a browse window of your pc file system
Browse to the image you want to use then click Open

Did you click "Open" after selecting the new image? Update the page and the top right avatar is also changed. (Works here.)

@vkmast I tried JPG, PNG. The size is from 40 pixels to 512 pixels. Does not work.

I have a question not about Vegas, but about the forum. Aren't these two different things?

@gorGaram Playing around yesterday I found my change didn't immediately stick. After changing it go out of your profile page to another forum post. Then check a minute later.

@gorGaram Upload your required avatar image to this forum as a jpg file. The upload button is to the left of the smiley item in the toolbar above. As a moderator I may be able to change it for you.
