How to deactivate from a broken computer

I was wondering, since you can only put a program for sony vegas pro on two devices, I can't deactivate my photo installations for this school laptop, and I want to deactivate sony vegas pro as well. I was also going to ask how much it would cost to upgrade from sony vegas pro 14 to 19, and if vegas pro 365 are subscription-only can, you can buy it permanently. Like how I have vegas pro 14, I want to get 19 permanently and thinking of getting vegas post, and can I upgrade from pro to post software permanently or cheaper? I also would like to know how to find beginner tutorials. I see the others, but I don't know about much or any for that manner other than clipping. So is there a specific section for beginners, or should I do live training?

First of all, there's no such product as Sony Vegas Pro 14 to 19. Vegas Pro was a Sony product up to and including version 13, but Sony then sold Vegas Pro to the MAGIX company after which the product has been named simply Vegas Pro. Please see:

https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/sony-vegas-vs-vegas--119881/

Vegas Pro 14 and onwards can be de-activated on your MAGIX My Account under the My Products heading.

All versions of Vegas Pro 19 can be obtained by either subscription or as a perpetual purchase/upgrade. When you get to the purchase page on Vegas Pro's webpage, click on the little arrow just under 'Choose a payment plan:' and you will find the subscription and perpetual licence options.

The best way to find out costing and eligibility for upgrades, go through the upgrade process and it should ask you to code your previous Vegas Pro serial number (14 in your case), and it will then let you know about eligibility and costing.

Re the differences between the three versions of Vegas Pro, have a look at Vegas Pro 19's comparison page:

https://www.vegascreativesoftware.com/us/product-comparison/#productMenu

Keep in mind that a significant difference between the subscription and perpetual licence models is that with the subscription model, access to Vegas Pro ceases if/when you stop paying the subscription; whereas the perpetual licence means that you have permanent access to Vegas Pro 19 - as is the case with earlier Vegas Pro versions including 14.

Re beginner tutorials, there was a series of Vegas Pro training videos done in April last year about the basic of Vegas Pro, the first one being:

With this in mind, if you are at the basic level of video editing in an NLE, you might want to consider getting Vegas Edit 19 and Vegas Pro 19 at first and consider upgrading to Post at a later time after you've honed your editing skills. Even though Vegas Effects includes some good VFX over and above those in Vegas Pro, Vegas Effects adds a lot of compositing tools including in 3D space that makes it very useful for advanced editing.

On the other hand, if you get Post now as a perpetual licence, you've got Vegas Effects sitting there for use in the future.

Please note also the System requirements.

It's also recommended to "try before you buy". https://www.vegascreativesoftware.com/us/free-trials/video-editor-free-download/

Note also that the other option to deactivate a device, so you can activate a different one (in VEGAS Pro 14.0 to VEGAS Pro 18.0, you can also choose Deactivate the Software on this PC from the Help menu. This option can be used as often as you wish) is missing from the initial release of VEGAS Pro 19, but should be back in an early update. The option on your MAGIX account > My Products > Show More Details > Deactivate can be used only once a month.

And you can use VEGAS Pro (14.0 and later) simultaneously on 2 devices. The subscription models are limited to one activation at a time (according to MAGIX Pro Support 7/29/2021).
