How to Transfer Vegas 18 Suite to New Computer

Randeep-Wadehra wrote on 6/4/2021, 1:51 AM

Hi Everybody,

Recently I purchased Vegas Pro 18 Suite and downloaded it to my HP Spectre 360 laptop. I feel my laptop is not equipped for running the Vegas Pro 18 Suite, despite 16 GB RAM and i7 Intel 10th Gen. I am using the latest Windows 10 operating system.

I am thinking of buying a new computer. I need to know whether I can use my present Vegas Suite in the new computer. If yes, how do I transfer the software from the old laptop to the new PC?

Please help.

Many thanks in advance.

@Randeep-Wadehra If its similar to VP in operation then deactivate within the program, for that laptop, I think under Help. You need to be online.

If you deactivate from your account, you can only do it once a month. The former is more flexible in case you change your mind and go back to using it on your laptop in a short period.

You can have it installed and activated on two machines. Not sure though if it can be used simultaneously on both machines.

Logging into your account shows which machines it’s installed on, handy in case you lose track of things.

@vkmast @JN- Many thanks for your prompt and useful replies.

I hope I would be able to download the entire Suite, plugins and all, to my new computer.

Thanks once again and best regards.

The plugins might be where you have a problem, especially if they are Boris.

Yes, I am worried about that too, as well as Sound Forge. I blundered by purchasing the entire suite. Now it is not working well on HP Spectre 360, especially the rendering part. Even scrubbing and playback create problems occasionally.

Sound Forge is the same as Vegas, one license can activate Sound Forge on two (2) PCs simultaneously.
The above does not apply to '365' subscription versions which can only on one device.
