If so, it is really a Firewire card that you need for your computer to enable the transfer of video/audio recordings. Or by 'app' do you mean an NLE (editing software) recommendation? If the latter, then the forum would need to know the major specifications of your computer because modern NLEs are unlikely to function on a computer from the early 2000s.
