I thought I get Vegas Pro 19 for free

vin wrote on 8/20/2021, 11:52 PM

I wanted to buy Vegas Pro 18 because I needed a video editor, and then it said I could get Vegas Pro 19 for free when it releases, so I bought 18 to do that as well. Vegas Pro 19 just released and when I opened Vegas Pro 18 to see a Vegas Pro 19 popup, it told me I had to pay, even when I got to the Vegas Pro 19 purchase page on the site. I wanted it for free like I was promised. What do I do now?

Got any Photos/Videos on it - yeah course yah do! Well, now you can, via the App, directly upload to the Vegas Timeline! Try out SHIFT+B and SHIFT+M….. “It’s Previewing, but not as you know it - Jim!

Glad I'm not alone. Be gladder with the serial number I paid for.

Over charged and made to wait. Not nice.😡

A 100% amateur, making ham-fisted music with my guitar since 1969, soon after seeing Pink Floyd at the Festival Hall, the Albert Hall and the Fairfild Halls.

My main software is Cubase, but I use VEGAS to make videos to post on BitChute and, rarely, on Youtube.

My first computer was an Atari STE 1040, because it could run Cubase and had built-in MIDI ports.

Currently using an i9 12900/Radeon 6700XT machine, 64 gigs RAM, 2 x 32" 1440p monitors, Win 10, VEGAS 20.

hopefully we get our keys over the next few days - I know now when they release Vegas 20 not to participate in any kind of 2 for 1 deals

Hello currently I use PRO 18. I test PRO 19 via the trial version. I am interested in automatic detection of scenes. But that doesn't work on V19 trial. Do you have an idea? Thank you

Already done....their reply was they would investigate the ticket in a couple of days. So...a couple more days, just to even hear from support.

I have also not received my Vegas Pro Edit 19 update I purchased during the 2-for-1 offer. Visiting this url presents a series of circular links that do not resolve in being able to contact anyone (no chat, phone, or email options are presented):

@fr0sty could you help to point folks in the right direction (sounds like there may be a few at this point, unless I am the only one who is having an issue contacting support?) I'm using the latest version of Chrome on Windows 10, if that helps. If there is a support email address you could share or similar I am sure it would be appreciated by anyone else having the same issue.

And my V19 serial number is 'gone with the wind. Lol!!

Just received my serial number for v19 & wanted to relay my experience, which might help those like myself who tend to upgrade less frequently (every 5 years or so) and may not be familiar with the workings of the current registration system.

I contacted two email addresses (shop@magix.net and us-shop@magix.net). I can't tell which one got through (maybe both?) since the reply came from a third email address (sales@magix.net).

The reply mentioned that a support ticket had been created.  About an hour later I refreshed the "My products" page on the Magix website- nothing showing v19 yet, still just Vegas Pro Edit 18.  I was assuming it might show up there once the product was 'added' on the Magix side- but I don't think that was a correct assumption on my part- more on that in a sec.

Because it had been a while since I checked my (Gmail) spam folder, I did that.  Lo and behold- a serial number for v19 had been delivered to the spam folder!  Ironically, the time stamp said the serial was delivered just before I submitted a support request. Ironic, unless Magix has some kind of low-powered time machine that delivers serials just before support requests are made for them.

Finally, the v19 product did not show up in the "My products" page until after I installed & registered it.  There may be reasons for that, but I wonder if those reasons outweigh the fact that we live in a world where even the mighty Gmail is apparently capable of misdirecting highly relevant/recent/purchase-based items into a spam folder.

Recap: it took about a week after v19 released to receive the serial.  Check your spam folders, and don't expect it to show up in "My products" until you register it.  Hope that helps someone.

Still waiting here. I got a reply from support a ticket had been made, but it would be a couple days until they investigate it. My IP email doesn't have a SPAM folder either...so I guess I continue to wait.

Well, I finally got my email, in the junk folder. Have faith guys!
