If I upgrade to Vegas Pro 16 do I need to install all my plug ins agai

Hi

I know this likely seems a trivial question - if I upgrade to Pro 16 does it install as a new software or update over my 15 installation?

Do I need to install all my plug ins again etc?

I have had quite a few issues with 15 - in a way I would like 16 to be fresh and just work as intended?

Thanks for any and all help

Not trivial. And no, you will be able to keep both VP15 and VP16 and use them as separate NLEs. VP16 doesn't install-over VP15. If it did?! Woah!!

Well, I didn't, except to I had to reinstall ProDad's MERCALLI. That's it so far. My other Plugs are front and Centre.

Erm? I don't understand? Please explain.

@Grazie my understanding is that the OP is pursuing the perfect system without bugs.

Thanks for commenting.

To get 15 stable and rendering stable I have had to set SO4 to false otherwise it would random crash a lot.

I also had to "Enable OpenCL/GL Interop". Set the value of this setting to "FALSE" to get renders stable using my GPU. After setting these 2 crashes are now nearly non existent.

By all accounts this is nvidia driver related but noone else seemed to have this problem only me?

I built a big pc for using vegas 15 to render in 4k and its ok now, but I am getting a little more advanced with it, adding effects etc and things are starting to feel a little sluggish.

This was all stressful and time consuming and one can hope a new version will not have these issues and I can just use it, that is all I meant
