Install disc version over trial

Over a year ago I downloaded Magix proX trial and cannot completely remove. Can I now install a disc version of platinum without getting the "trial expired" message?

As Magix ProX (whichever software that is) is most likely not (Vegas Movie Studio) Platinum, I don't see why not? And install the latest build of the software from the site and use the serial number provided.
