Long time Vegas user. I have Vegas Pro on an old machine I am moving on from. I purchased the Vegas Pro 19 upgrade, got the download link in email, tried to install but got an error message saying to contact support.

Here is a screenshot of the error message. This is a brand new Dell laptop.

Thanks in advance!

@Kevin-vonDuuglas-Ittu I don't think so either.

No, I have Vegas Pro 17 on my old computer, purchased the upgrade to 19 to install on my new computer. Am I not permitted to have these two versions running on two separate computers? If not, do you - or anyone - know what I need to do to deactivate the old version of 17?

From the main FAQ: "9. How many computers can I use VEGAS Pro on?
You can use VEGAS Pro (14.0 and later) simultaneously on 2 devices. VEGAS Pro 365 can be used on 1 device at a time.

To deactivate a device, so you can activate a different one, visit your MAGIX account > My Products > Show More Details > Deactivate. This option can be used only once a month.

In VEGAS Pro 14.0 or later, you can also choose Deactivate the Software on this PC from the Help menu This option can be used as often as you wish. An internet connection is required."

Otherwise, please read Dexcon's comment again.

Wow, you guys are incredible. It turns out I had several older versions of Vegas still active on even older machines. I've used the software for some time. I deactivated all but one use and the installation when perfectly! Thank you for taking the time to solve the problem. This forum always comes through for me, and very quickly. Thank you!
