Installing Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum HD 11 onto a new laptop

I'm attempting to re-install Sony vegas movie studio platinum hd 11 onto my new laptop. I have a box version of Vegas Movie studio which contains a cd/dvd to install the program. However, my new laptop does not have a CD drive. I resorted to installing the program using the serial number but the magix support centre was not successful.

I eventually found a way to download the software (https://www.magix.com/gb/support/my-service-center/product-downloads/). However, when the download is 'finished', I get an error message saying the 'download was corrupt'.

Any ideas/solutions to fix this?

Your link should be https://www.magix.com/gb/support/my-service-center/product-downloads/

The options to download are in this FAQ sections 3 and 4. They did work last time I tried. You might try downloading again.

Section 7 still has a link to VMSP 11, but the download may be slow as it's from web archives.

Thank you for your help!

It turns out I did not have Microsoft Net Framework 3.5 SP 1 (which can be downloaded here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=22)

Once I had downloaded that, the download and installation of SVMS worked perfectly!
