What region are you in?

Here's what I see today for options for Vegas Pro. (You can pay monthly but it costs more than paying for a subscription upfront) Vegas Edit is also cheaper than Vegas Pro, depending on what features you need.

@RogerS I wondered about the 365 subscription annual monthly payment option here. Maybe someone with that payment plan will confirm that it actually exists..

While I didn't actually pay for it, it seems possible to purchase.

Thanks @RogerS. So in view of the OP's question, do they actually bill you monthly. See also the annual plans' "Purchasing details" I quoted.

It says "payment: monthly" for both plans so if they didn't let you pay monthly, they are meaningless options.

For the monthly only one it says

Subscription and cancellation conditions: VEGAS Edit 365 will be available immediately after payment and activation. The charge for the minimum term is payable as a single sum upon conclusion of the contract. The minimum term begins on the date of purchase. The contractual period of VEGAS Edit 365 will be automatically extended by one month at a time until you cancel the agreement You will be informed well in advance if the extension rate or taxes included change. A cancellation is possible up to 1 day before the end of the contract period. To cancel the contract, please send an email stating your customer number to: infoservice@magix.net

I would interpret the minimum term here as one month, so you pay a single sum per month: "The charge for the minimum term is payable as a single sum upon conclusion of the contract." The contract term is then extended each month until you cancel.

For the annual one paid monthly, it appears to be in error as it doesn't make sense why annual (one-time payment) and annual (monthly) would work the same but be priced differently. I see why you wanted to someone to confirm how it works in practice.

@RogerS yes. It's interesting that "If you cancel your order within 14 days, you will receive a complete refund" has recently been dropped from the Purchasing details. I’m in the east-south central region in the US and it looks like I don’t have that drop box on the Vegas Pro option. I’ll have to check the Vegas Edit option later to see if there’s a drop box for monthly payments. Thank you.

Okay, we're same region then (US site). I just clicked on choose a payment plan, If it doesn't work for you, maybe try a different browser. I'm using Firefox with this and the dropdown is the same for Edit here.

@RogerS I contacted MAGIX Sales today and got a prompt answer.

"The minimum term of the annual subscription is, as the name implies, one year (12 months). In the case of monthly payment, the amount is debited in advance for the coming month. Thank you for your feedback and the explanation of your concern. We have already passed on your suggestion internally to the responsible department."

My suggestion was to clarify the wording in "Purchasing details".

I went back on the website today and saw the dropbox this time. Maybe I missed it? Anyway, thanks! This helped a lot.
