Is it a good deal to buy this software now?

Probably not, if you're hesitating. The current Movie Studio 14 Platinum offer is good though, especially if you're eligible for the upgrade. The next version will come sooner or later as has been the habit. Note that it usually takes a couple of updates/builds (i.e. a couple of months) to get many of the inevitable initial bugs fixed. Some of us do buy new versions again and again. It's not always been a good deal.

I am considering the Suite version, because of the FXHOME and NewBlueFX things. Are they worth the USD30 extra?

Might be. Read about the Suite extras here.

Magix making a good sale now, until november 15.

But I fear that Movie Studio 15 coming soon, and then I can buy this software again.

My way or reasoning on these things is about what the tool allows you to do for which price. I bought MS13 three years ago after trying several NLEs in demo, and finding MS by far the most stable on my machine, for the kind of movies I wanted to do (mainly music videos). That alone for me was worth its price.

Then 14 came, and actually didn't bother for a while - until a "sales moment" like now came up, and the amount of additional bonus bits they provided were going to be actually useful, plus I expected some improvement in stability and speed... which I got..

The only feature I really miss is proper masking and mask tracking. That aside, frankly, u can do professional work for a package costing 50 euro.. for me the value for money is astounding :)

On amazon, download is 78$ for suite and 47 for platinum.

I'm waiting for MS15 .

I bought the Movie Studio 14 Platinum from the website of Magix. The boxed version had the same price as Amazon.
