If you want a free upgrade from MAGIX, only they can answer that question.

That's what I was thinking too, but couldn't find a link to contact sales on the Magix web site. I thought I may be able to get somewhere here. Thanks for your response.

Unlikely to get it; that's why it was so cheap.

Yep, just heard from them this morning... basically, to bad you had bad timing.

I hope they make the move to a rolling 12 month update policy as they do with other Magix products. That would avoid this issue (thought also likely end deep sales towards the end of a product's life that we have today).

Ideally that would be what the engineering team would like to see and it has been that model that the engineering team has been working under for over 2 years now. The problem has been to get our back end systems along with sales and marketing in place to be able to roll out this sort of update service model to this point. The infrastructure requirements for it are substantial. VEGAS 20 and VEGAS 21 were never really supposed to happen with a general VEGAS Pro application that would be continuously updated and users getting (in theory) one year of updates with the purchase.

That actually makes more sense as the improvements are now on a rolling basis so it would make sense that sales would be, too!

I hope the backend problems can be solved before too long.
