key command for "selectively paste event attributes"??

Mindmatter wrote on 7/11/2018, 12:24 PM

Hi all,

I can't seem to find, for the life of me, "selectively paste event attributes" in the keyboard shortcut list.

If anybody knows where it is, please do tell...

Thanks!

I don't have the latest version of VP and the only command I see is "Paste Event Attributes" in the 'Edit' menu.. which does not have a default keyboard shortcut.
A keyboard shortcut can easily be created for that and other menu commands in the "Options> Customize keyboard" menu.

thanks rraud but that's exactly the problem . It's not in the list.

This core feature is not available as keyboard command.

In Vegas Pro 14 you could apply the Vegasaur "Paste Event Attribute" feature (which is selective) as keyboard command but it is removed from Vegasaur in VP15.

In my version of Vegas 12, it is under EXPLORER on customize keyboard.

vkmast wrote on 7/11/2018, 5:16 PM

Still there in Vegas Pro 15, but not the new "Selectively Paste Event Attributes".

Former user wrote on 7/11/2018, 5:40 PM

Seems odd they would remove something that basic.

You could try adding this command to your keyboard.ini file. I just picked a random keystroke.

[Explorer]
Edit.PasteEventAttributes=Ctrl+Alt+V

Did you try my suggestion?

Mindmatter wrote on 7/12/2018, 1:35 AM

Thank you David-tu, I tried a couple of times, saved the .ini file but it still wouldn't show up in the list.

this really is somewhat of a worklow obstacle to me, especially when applying FX and grading from event to event as I di the final touches. The old vegasaur feature did have a key command tho.

This just proves what Marco. told above about the new Selectively… option.

Former user wrote on 7/12/2018, 7:06 AM

Mindmatter, it was worth a try. I guess this option was removed in the current versions.

Are we talking about a KB shortcut for "Paste Event Attributes" or "Selectively Paste Event Attributes" in Vegas Pro 15 (or Vegasaur)?

Former user wrote on 7/12/2018, 8:19 AM

Sorry, I might be confusing the issue. I am referring to "paste event attributes".

Thanks, david. That's what I gathered.
