Lost serial number

My laptop broke and now I am using a friends and want to install movie studio but its asking for a serial number and i cant find the box for the program. I dont think i registered it online so how do i get another code or can someone share theirs with me so i can just use the program please.

Check in case you happened to register it anyway. Log in to your account on www.sonycreativesoftware.com and go to My Account > My Software. It lists the registered Product(s) and Serial Number(s).

If it is not there, I'm afraid you may be out of luck, unless some kind soul sells/donates you an unused license. I don't know how license transfers work at the moment.
