Magix HEVC codec artifacted render

sirdani wrote on 8/14/2018, 6:51 PM

Hi,

If I try to render in 4K there are artifacts in the video:

https://mega.nz/#!B3whhDZI!T4efjcl6FVoaQ1kSOxt-qvxBTNoNOK3wC6o9riq6FLc

I used the built in HEVC NVENC 4K preset and you can see when the intro ends and camera image appears there is a hard artifact on it.

There is no artifact on FHD or 2K render, only 4K problem.

I have ryzen 1700, 16GB RAM, 1050ti with 4GB vram so everything is optimal for 4K render.

Both Nvidia H264/H265 has this issue on 4K. Of course CPU rendering works, but slow as hell on 4K.

It is interesting...

When I use the built-in HEVC preset avg: 24mbps max:40mbsp then the final video is artifacted.

When I use avg:24mbs max:24mbps or avg:40mbps max:40mbps or even avg/max:94mbps then the video has no issues.

It looks like encoder can not handle VBR with wide spectrum?

i dont think that is the case. i just now rendered with both Max and Avg value as 50 mbps but still same issue for me.

Presenting here is also sharing a link to a cloud location, but of course it would be better this website has his own possibilities to share projectfiles of its programs.

Yes, currently you need to use cloud options for your Movie Studio Platinum .vf project files as well.

chandan-prakash wrote on 9/7/2018, 4:11 PM

upload option doesnt let me upload .vf file.

Yes, that's what vkmast described before.

sirdani wrote on 9/8/2018, 1:10 AM

You can upload the .vf file to cloud, because here only media files can be uploaded
