Something struck me while I was reading this: HEVC/h265 support "might" mean open-source encoder and filter implementation, which would put Vegas products at the head of the pack, with such things as x264, nlmeans, lanczos, decomb, etc..

Just speculation, you understand; I have not looked into Magix' history or stance on open-source integration.
