MAGIX: Software Update Announcements and Change History Please!

NickHope wrote on 9/4/2016, 12:07 AM

MAGIX, when you release updates to software can you please announce it on the forum and link to a change history?

Vegas Pro versions 543 and 545 both arrived unannounced and with no details of the changes (as far as I know), which leaves users working out for themselves what has changed through trial and error. The result has been lots of speculation and misinformation (e.g.) which could easily be avoided.

Thanks!

Essential info that used to be promptly provided as a sticky by "ForumAdmin" in the past.

But do you really beleive someone would announce a history like that?

New in Build 543:

  • Rebranding from Sony to VEGAS
  • No support for VASST
  • No support for Vegasaur
  • No Projectarchiv Export like Announced
  • and maybe more to recover that don't works

Ok, VASST and Vegasaur works (again) in Build 545, but do they really know what they're doing?

They probably will not. Still, they should publish a Read me folder/file (SCS had Release notes in them) informing of new features, bug fixes and changes in new versions and builds.

It will be interesting to see if MAGIX will keep previous builds of their current versions available as SCS generally did. Some unfortunate builds (e.g. VPro 12.0.710) were withdrawn altogether due to bugs they introduced .though.

And their old download archives are pretty extensive and still available (ATM).
