I do not have a serial number and I only have a license code for it

"Usually you will receive the order confirmation after the purchase. In the case of an electronic good, the confirmation already contains all download links and activation codes (serial number)."

My father bought it for me with his email and he only gave me the license code, is there any other method?

I just uninstalled Vegas pro 18

If you've just uninstalled Vegas Pro 18, you must have had the .exe program or installer to have installed it on your computer in the first place. Can you not use the same installer again? Further, how did you get Vegas Pro 18 activated without accessing a relevant MAGIX 'My Account' record to which the serial number is linked? An exception to this might be that your father bought Vegas Pro 18 from Steam rather than from MAGIX, in which case you'll probably need to liaise with your father in order to get it downloaded again from Steam's website because Steam's Vegas Pro has a different licensing system to that of MAGIX.

@Dexcon how do I find said installer? My father took my laptop for an hour and when he gave it back it was there.

@Azy when you have time to check the main FAQs post, click the link in section 3 there. It takes you to this FAQ. Please read sections 2 (last paragraph *), 3, 4 and 6 there. On the other hand, @Jack S and @Dexcon gave you the basic advice earlier in this thread.

*) other bundled plugins and apps are listed in section 6 below now, not in 5.

@Azy  ... You'll really need to get the installer from your father. Honestly, if you don't have in your possession the installer or the .exe program file, the serial number and preferably access to the MAGIX account (i.e. email address for the account name and the password) to which Vegas Pro has been registered and activated, this could end being an ongoing problem for you including for resolving technical problems (like now), maybe when upgrading to another Vegas Pro version, or if you need to install Vegas Pro on another computer.

That's going be made all the more difficult if your father is the account holder for Vegas Pro and is using it himself on his own computer, and the installation that you have on your computer is the allowable second computer installation. If that is the case, you're probably going to have to be reliant on your father until such time that he transfers ownership his Vegas Pro to you via MAGIX, or you purchase your own version of Vegas Pro in your own name at some time in the future.

This was the email that my dad got after buying Vegas, does this mean anything?

Dexcon wrote on 4/21/2021, 12:24 AM

By researching online, we.tl opens a website called WeTransfer which looks like it is a website that solely facilitates the transfer of files. It does not look like it sells software like Vegas Pro. Wikipedia reports that WeTransfer is based in the Netherlands, but curiously the country code of .tl is the country code for Timor-Leste (East Timor).

Nonetheless, it would not appear that your Vegas Pro was purchased directly from vegascreativesoftware.com/MAGIX because the method of electronic delivery for Vegas Pro is directly from MAGIX's website, not via a third party distribution website such as WeTransfer. This is not to say that one of MAGIX's authorised resellers may not use such a distribution method.

Further, the licence key that you've given above is completely different to the serial number format used by MAGIX. After buying Vegas Pro from MAGIX, an order number and a serial number is sent by email to the purchaser - a 'licence key' does not form part of the purchase process.

The download link does show Vegas Pro 18 for the download, but it does not show the source of the link.

Nothing here so far looks even close to typical of a purchase of Vegas Pro from MAGIX.

The VEGAS serial numbers start with a P3-. The OP (or his father) needs to contact the party from which the software was purchased. The forum users cannot help you in this case.
