Magnifying Glass FX?

Grazie wrote on 3/18/2020, 4:19 AM

Did we have one? Yeah, it was a circle of magnification, like a MagGlass? I remember applying this waaaay back. Any ideas will be gratefully received!

TIA - G

Try "Spherize" FX.

Other Option, Cookie Cutter Circle with border and copy of event as underlay. Then zoom in with pan/crop tool on overlay.

Grazie wrote on 3/18/2020, 8:41 AM

@3POINT - Yes, kinda reckoned on that. But there was an FX Plug, maybe out of NB.

part of NEWBLUE VIDEO ESSENTIALS 4''

As mentioned in the newbluefx zendesk link I gave above.

Grazie wrote on 3/20/2020, 2:12 AM

Well, Fellow-VegSters, thanks for all the assistance, however, it has been a complete bust.

CookieCutter: The Cookie Cutter, as I was fearing, brings about an unfortunate parallax result on a moving target. Sorry . . .

NB Essentials 4: Yes, it is/was part of NEWBLUE VIDEO ESSENTIALS 4, but this can't be downloaded as a Demo to test on VP17 and thus my investment.

Elements 3 Energize Cut Away would have been great to demo, but when I download the E3E Demo it is mysteriously converted to NewBlue Stylers3 Ultimate, which I have already, and most certainly doesn't include that Cut Away.

Conclusion: NewBlue no longer sees Magnifyer as a valued Plug - pity . . . .

So, a "Grazie-MagGlass" for VegasPro would be a really nice feature to have.

@Grazie isn't this link of any help? https://newbluefx.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000796746-All-Legacy-Products

@vkmast - My apologies VK, yes you did "help", and in the 14-day DEMO mode VE IV it's exactly what I'd want.

But then, wishing to find out the price, I attempted to purchase it, I get this from Digital River, the 3rd party payment company:

"Product does not exist! At least one of the requested products does not exist."

So, the correct product, and tested but no way of determining how much to go forward and purchase.

vkmast wrote on 3/20/2020, 3:16 AM

@Grazie to confirm, was it Digital River that you got trying the Producer Planet (a MAGIX company?) link?

Or this one https://newbluefx.com/newbluefx-vault/ ?

@Grazie can you try the NBFX legacy vault?

@Grazie can you try the NBFX legacy vault?

@vkmast - Wow! I didn't know that existed. I should've known you would 😉 . . Always trust the VK! - Anyways, there's still no way of checking the functionality within VP17 - there's no current DEMO.

vkmast wrote on 3/20/2020, 5:02 AM

So I gather that the Windows download link (see your screengrab) does not work as a current demo.

@vkmast - The Vault or the Previous?

Dexcon wrote on 3/20/2020, 5:06 AM

@Grazie ... I've got NBFX VE IV from 6 years ago (build 140722) which I just installed on my laptop (trial mode) to see if Magnifying Glass works in VP17. It does as per the following screen dump:

Cameras: Sony FDR-AX100E; GoPro Hero 11 Black Creator Edition

Installed: Vegas Pro 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21 & 22, HitFilm Pro 2021.3, DaVinci Resolve Studio 20, BCC 2025, Mocha Pro 2025.0, NBFX TotalFX 7, Neat NR, DVD Architect 6.0, MAGIX Travel Maps, Sound Forge Pro 16, SpectraLayers Pro 11, iZotope RX11 Advanced and many other iZ plugins, Vegasaur 4.0

Windows 11

Dell Alienware Aurora 11:

10th Gen Intel i9 10900KF - 10 cores (20 threads) - 3.7 to 5.3 GHz

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER 8GB GDDR6 - liquid cooled

64GB RAM - Dual Channel HyperX FURY DDR4 XMP at 3200MHz

C drive: 2TB Samsung 990 PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 PCIe SSD

E: drive: 2TB Samsung 870 SATA SSD

F: drive: 6TB WD 7200 rpm Black HDD 3.5"

Grazie wrote on 3/20/2020, 5:08 AM

@vkmast - My ScreenGrab gives the DEMO, but that DEMO only supplies the Digital River option which in turn does NOT no about the DEMO. The Vault supplies a method to PAY but does NOT supply a DEMO to check if it works in VP17. You got me?

Grazie wrote on 3/20/2020, 5:10 AM

@Dexcon - Yes, yes, yes... I’ve got that too. But the link to determine the price comes back NOT KNOWN! I love you guys 😂

@Grazie thanks, that's what I wanted I know. How about https://newbluefx.com/about/contact/ ?

Grazie wrote on 3/20/2020, 5:32 AM

@vkmast - I did email Caleb and Edward three days back. Not heard back. I then came here to talk with my chums, to get the Ball Rollin’.

I just wanged off an email using your link. Tick tock tick tock......

@Grazie ... there is a Magnify plugin in FXHome Ignite, but it's very basic in comparison to NBFX's plugin, the latter having shape, AR and border options which are lacking in the Ignite plugin.
