Are you sure you cannot. This is from DVDA7

I bought DVD Architect 5.0 and on the box it says it is capable of 5.1 surround sound

What is happening when you try? Is your audio AC3?

I edited and rendered the project with Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum in 5.1 Bluray but when I send it to DVD Architect and check the properties, there's no option for 5.1 with Bluray. I have created 5.1 DVDs with DVDA but it wont let me create a 5.1 Bluray!

You have DVD Architect Studio 5.0? "Only PCM Stereo audio is available for Blu-ray Disc projects."

(A long rant from 2010-2011)

L-PEREZ wrote on 6/28/2022, 2:04 PM

the box with the system I bought states clearly 5.1 surround sound. Why would they allow it only on DVD and not Bluray. This seems dishonest and misleading

vkmast wrote on 6/28/2022, 2:20 PM

That was rather extensively debated more than ten years ago (when the programs were from Sony/SCS) in the linked thread. Did you have a chance to read it? See if you can burn a 5.1 BD project from the timeline.

Btw, my VMSP 10 box (which included DVD AS 10) states that "use the surround sound mixing and panning tools to create surround DVD soundtracks.

You may need to consider upgrading as things will not change re those program versions. Btw, even VEGAS DVD Architect (7) is now a discontinued product.

so then, how did the issue get resolved? I'm not seeing the solution, though it seems the previous customer issue was fixed. I need the upgrade or patch or whatever Vegas is supplying

DVDA Ver 5.2 has the 5.1 option. (this is not the studio version)

ok excellent, is there a place I can download that?

vkmast wrote on 6/29/2022, 3:59 AM

Sony DVD Architect Pro 5.2 is a discontinued product (as are all versions of DVD Architect). If you have a legitimate serial number for it, you can download it from the MAGIX Download Center. (Generally, please note that there is no support here for cracked or pirated versions.)

L-PEREZ wrote on 6/29/2022, 1:05 PM

yes of course I have a legitimate serial number. I paid good money for this program

vkmast wrote on 6/29/2022, 1:29 PM

As I said, if you have a legitimate serial number for DVD Architect Pro 5.2, try MAGIX Download Center.
