Markers disappear in render => DVD Architect

I tried my first render in SMS Platinum 12, using a Sony DVDA template. Under the metadata section, I checked the box that provides for inclusion of the markers (wih which I'd intended to denote menu items.) In the DVD-A file explorer, the properties of the rendered file do indeed say that it includes makers. (The auxiliary file created by SMS12 which contains the maker info, is still in the same (default) render directory as the mpg file. (Same deal for the audio track, btw.)

Issue: the markers are not showing up on the timeline in DVD-A. What am I missing?

If it matters, in SMS12, the markers were not numbered in linear order - ie. progressively along the timeline. (I can see how to rename them, but not how to renumber them.) Should I have dragged them into numerical order, then renamed, before rendering?

Thx for any help, Ron

Are you sure to import media using the menu tree on the left in DVDA?
Dragging your files to the menu timeline will not work.

Yes, you probably dragged your media to the timeline in DVD AS.
As mv says, you need to insert media into the workspace (where the menu tree is). Don't worry about the markers not numbered in linear order in MSP. You'll see them renumbered in DVD AS and you can rename them there (RC the marker).

(101 again; I guess?).

Thx guys, that was it, you nailed it.

101, yeah.. I do search before posting, and have read a lot, but there's so much stuff out there. Hard to find the specific tip at the moment needed. Apologies. Back to the tutorials. Thx again. -Ron
