Masking in Vegas Movie Studio 15

I'm assuming that Mask in Pan / Crop will continue to be a Pro only feature, but I was not aware of its existence until recently. Now that I realize what I've been missing all this time, I can't bring myself to upgrade version 14 as I feel like we're being cheated. Awesome features like that shouldn't be pro only. Some of us aren't rich but want decent looking videos. Consider this a request for future inclusion.

Which features should be pro only?

"The philosophy behind VEGAS Movie Studio and its role in the VEGAS portfolio". A quote: "Which one users should start with depends to some extent on budget of course, but more importantly, upon their level of expertise with powerful software and their aspirations as filmmakers."

I miss masking as well. I've occasionally used HitFilm Express on the specific clip before bringing it in Movie Studio, if you don't need masking on the time it's a option.

Well, this will produce a laugh I'm sure - I couldn't really think of what I considered pro only although I'm happy to give up all the disc authoring features. I guess it depends person to person. But no sooner do I say I won't upgrade to Movie Studio 15 do I see that Vegas has a lower-end "Vegas Pro Edit" which has all the features I could ever dream of and a good upgrade price that expired yesterday. So I bought it. I guess I get masking now. And I can still be poor and not have to pay the much more expensive FULL Vegas price.

Now I just need to figure out the best render settings because they've changed it up a lot over there! Guess this forum is no longer the one I need :)
