Are you adding the media generator to the track above your video track?

fr0sty wrote on 8/27/2020, 7:28 AM

I've had this bug happen. Edit the generated media. You should see a bunch of random code in the text box, instead of what you typed. Delete it. Now retype what you were trying to type, highlight what you just typed, and change the font to something else (you can change it back after). This should resolve the bug.

Yes I did. At first I had it under my main video track, but even when I had it above it still didn't appear.

I'm sorry, I don't see anything in the text box it's just empty. Or I'm looking somewhere else.

Check that your text track is not muted or your video track soloed.

Nope it's not. Two days ago it worked just fine, the text just overlapped the video and I could see the text but now I can't. Kinda weird.

"If it worked before", resetting is always worth a try. Follow the instructions to the letter.

Will try that. However I can't start a new project because my screen is too small to see the 'apply' button.

Haven't started a new project, stated above why.

Is it a 4K screen? You can temporarily reduce the resolution to make it appear bigger if so.

I have had similar issues with my 4k laptop display, some render parameters hidden below the bottom of the screen. Try hiding the Windows taskbar, otherwise, temporarily lower the Win display DPI, (150% to 125% for instance).

There is also a DPI scaling option in VP that 'may' help. "Options> Preferences> Display"

Nope 1920×1080, will try to reduce the resolution later and see it it'll work when I set it as a new project.

Oh didn't think about that, thanks. Will try that when I'm at home.
