That you named the product as being Sony Vegas Pro 21 increases the possibility that you've obtained your Vegas Pro version from a pirate website because pirate websites for years still call current versions of Vegas Pro as being from 'Sony'. The last version of Sony Vegas Pro was version 13, released some 8 years ago after which the Vegas product line was sold to MAGIX. Please explain.

Re the Reddit reference, please note that the OP never answered standard questions asked in the thread including whether or not their Vegas Pro version was pirated.

Were you able to get this resolved?

You are having a crash upon startup of VP 21, have already updated your NVIDIA driver and Windows is up to date.

Did it work in the past? If so have you tried a reset of VEGAS? https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/faq-how-can-i-reset-vegas-pro-to-default-settings--104646/

Sometimes plugins for audio or video can cause startup issues- did you install anything recently?

Is there an error message with the crash "show problem details"?

Any other hints as to where the problem might be?

The other thing you might look at is whether you are running your memory on an XMP (Extreme Memory Profile- this is the memory mfr's over clock) profile as it can sometimes cause application crash even though it boots fine and runs windows fine. I have just solved an issue I have with Starfield game suddenly freezing and crashing to desktop. I found that it would run stable at the default ram speed for the i9-13900K which is 4800MHz, my XMP is 6600MHz. I also found that it would run stable at 6133MHz but only at relaxed timings and not at XMP timings. I believe that this may also affect other apps such as Video editing which is both memory and graphics intensive. If you bought your PC from a specialist supplier it maybe the case that the memory has been set for max performance or if you built it yourself you set it at max performance. You can easily check the speed it is running at by looking in Task Manager - performance - memory tab and look at bottom right at memory speed if is more than 4800MHz it is effectively over clocked from the i9-13900 default.
In Vegas you can usually point the finger at the GPU when the preview window hangs, goes red, green, corrupt and the sound keeps playing. Or the finger at possibly memory issue if you are scrubbing back and forwards on the timeline, moving clips and suddenly get the non responding screen and you have to kill Vegas.
