Hello the community,
I have an issue with vegas pro when I use the motion tracking.
I type Alt+M then the motion tracking windows opening.
But, when I want to add a region, I have an error message saying: "Effect not found: VEGAS Motion Tracker"
I tried to uninstall completely Vegas and installed it again wihtout any change.
I don't understand what I'm doing wrong 😩

Which version of Vegas are you using?
I'm using the last one: last release of Vegas pro 19 😎

In my case, no frame on the video, just the message that you can see on this screenshot 😢 Just after the click on the "add Region" button.
Mine started this after the last update. It was working before. I tried reinstalling But no luck still broke.
I reinstalled build 550 and it works now. I had to copy and paste the direct download link to get it to work..

I have the same issue with both VP19 and VP20. Back dating VP19 to 550 also worked for me. So, does anyone know if there is a d'load link for the previous VP20 build somewhere?
Unfortunately, back dating VP20 to the prior build 139 hasn't worked. Still get the "Effect not found" error.
Resetting has also failed to resolve the issue. 😕
@Blacksands, was having issues getting VP19 Build 643 to accept "drag and drop" of my footage onto the timeline/Project Media. Going to B550 after uninstalling, it worked. Update to B643 and it wouldn't.
Out of frustration, I decided to use my "nuclear" option... Revo Pro Uninstaller. In my frustration, I didn't try the reset. I should have done that first since it's the simplest to do. But after uninstalling with Revo, letting it hunt down registry entries and folders (making sure NOT to remove any thing VP18 related), and having them removed, I reinstalled VP19 B643 and all is well. But it took a lot of time "rebuilding" it to where it was before the uninstall. Making sure all the ancillary programs were in place and setting up the way the windows appear.
That was my experience.

I'd never heard of this product but hunted it down and used the 30-day trial to do a comprehensive uninstall of VP20. And... unfortunately, it didn't fix the problem 😕

Sorry to hear that it didn't work for you. Have you considered creating another user account on your computer and trying it there?

@Blacksands If the motion tracking plugin is unable to load into VEGAS, it is often due to some conflict it is having with the hardware on your system, as this plug in very dependent on both the CPU and GPU. Please provide this information so we can begin to evaluate the problem.

It's an older system: Intel i5-3.8gHz | 16Gb | nVidia GTX1030
However, it should be noted that Motion Tracking works in VP19 (550) which does tend to suggest it's not a hardware conflict.

This is an admin installed version. Just reinstalled from scratch today. Today I was prompted to update to 300 and another update is waiting.
A 1 GB download takes awhile for my network!

Crikey... this is an old thread! To be honest, I can't recall now if I got round the problem or not at the time, and since then I have changed my hardware anyway. I'm still using VP20, and on this new hardware the feature appears to work just fine.
