movie studio 12 and dvd5.0?

I have used vegas 9 and recently purchased movie studio 12 platinum. which came with architect 5.0. I added both of the new soft wares to my computer and deleted the old files. I can open dvd architect directly on my computer but if I use movie studio and try to make the movie using menus I receive a message that architect 5.0 is not installed and needs to be installed. I have tried to delete it and reinstall it but that did not change. Any suggestions how to correct this?

It's probably all that "deleting" that is causing your problem. All Sony titles are designed to install right on top of each other.
1. Install Vegas
2. Install Architect
Unless you got the registry confused, that should do it.

Make sure that you have the right version of DVD Architect to match the version of Vegas you are using. I know from experience that you can't use a late version of DVDA with early Vegas, for instance. Then there are the Studio and Pro versions to match up.

The version I am using is the one that came with the new software purchase.

I did at first just add the vegas then the architect directly from the disk

Try uninstalling the disc versions and reinstall using the downloadable latest versions from this site's downloads > updates. Your serial numbers are valid.
MSP first.

Thanks uninstalling both and reinstalling from the website instead of the disk took care of it

Got the same messsage as you.. tried all the suggestions you have been previously given...none worked for me. Now I render the projects separately and import them into DVDA later not using the wizard. All the settings showing you how to do this can be found on You tube "Temporal Paradox1! ... How to render a Blu ray" .... this worked brilliantly for me
