That was a long thread which I gave up.... surely the fix is the find the Legacy Reset view.

In v12 that's .... VIEW / Windows Layout / Default.

That way everything should be back to "normal" - although I have created a different layout, it is "Named" so that too is available, . . . If I did I misunderstand, then sorry.

Dear UKharrie,
to make a short thread long,
the topic here is Movie Studio 13, which is extremely limited compared to the Platinum versions.
"Features: ...Comprehensive window docking options, recallable ".

And from a review by an actual user: "you can not resize any of the windows within the interface, and since they seem to resize themselves with no rhyme or reason this can be a major pain when one window becomes too small and the others are too large, making it impossible access all the features. The only way I have found to get around this is to reset the factory defaults (hold down shift+cntrl) when launching the application."

And if none of these work, try the Clean Removal procedure before reinstalling: all the details are here https://www.custcenter.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5177/~/clean-uninstall-and-reinstall-instructions-for-windows-10 . IT WORKS!
