I did it, no results...

Then there are other installed OFX effects that caused the problem, but I have no crystal bol. These where the ones who gave my problems with the upgrade to VMS 15 to start.

I am having the same problem, it is very frustrating.

Remove, or hide, all your third party OFX effects, not just NewBlue. If VMS then starts add them back, or reinstall them, one at a time to see which is causing the problem.

I figured out how to fix it, at least for me, hopefully it can help you to!

All you need to do is (if upgrade is needed) upgrade your graphics card driver or the opposite (if upgraded already) do the following steps and reinstall a previous version-

Start > Control Panel.

Select Device Manager from the list (switch View by to Small Icons if needed).

Expand the Display Adapter section and Right-click > Properties on your Intel® Display Adapter.

Navigate to the Driver tab and note the Driver Version presented.

Hi Steve,

Thanks for the tips. I am using win10 on a lenovo laptop, my display adapter reads 'Intel(R) HD Graphics' version 10.18.10.4276 - this means very little to me.

I have noticed on the Vegas 15 and 16 Specifications System requirements quite a big difference. Perhaps my machine can only run 15 and not 16.

I have contacted official Vegas Support heard nothing, so have actioned a refund at this stage. Thanks so much for the replies. Mike

You do not mention the version number, only its driver version number. How long did wait for the message proceed from "Creating video plug…"?

EricLNZ wrote on 2/20/2019, 4:31 AM

Mike, the specs are interesting as my humble low spec machine is now below the recommended specs but VMS16P runs just as well as VMS15P. Have you tried uninstalling or hiding your third party FX as suggested as this appears to be where you are having problems. Probably best to uninstall them then reinstall after you've got VMS16 going.
