Movie Studio 17 - keeps asking for activation AFTER I've used it

I've been a Vegas Studio user for over 15 years. Never had such trouble with the program.

I've launched and used several times. Now it's asking me for activation each time I try to launch and it's saying that my serial number is invalid.

Same computer.

Rediculous.

Can't tell you the version number because I can't launch it. But I purchased and installed it in the last week, if that helps.

I think it's 14. I uninstalled it so I can't test.

I also tried installing Vegas 10 because that worked beautifully on my last computer but it stalls at the .NET framework installation :-(

I checked my Magix account and it says that my serial number is not in use. :-(

This system has gone WAY downhill since the acquisition from Sony. They really need to get it together. Don't have these problems with Premiere or any other software :-(

Yep. I saw this and tried it. It didn't work. Nor does it explain why it worked and then stopped. I guess I'll have to try contacting their support. Thanks very much for your help though! You're a volunteer and didn't have to do this so it's really appreciated :-)
