Movie Studio HD platuim 11 (not responding)?

i'm running sony vegas movie studio HD platuim 11 on Widows vista 32bit. Everytime i try to start it, it freezes up right when it opens and it says "vegas movie studio platuim is not responding" and then i have to close it. How do i fix this?

i already did a system recovery, and installed the updates but its still doing this.

It was working fine when i 1st got it until now. Can someone please help me??

How much free, clean, freshly defragmented space is on your C drive?

111 GB of free space.
i even defragged it with ccleaner
and its still not working... how do i fix it?

I have VMS 11 and spent about 3 hours rebooting my pc and 1/2 hour editing 50 minutes of footage today.

New i7 HP with 8 Gig of ram. Program acts like it is out of memory but Task Manager shows I am using 1/2 of total memory at best. ??????? I clciked on help and it said not enough memory to display? what?

Wish I had my old Pentium and VMS 7 right now. :(
