I'm using Movie Studio Platinum 16 build 175 on a Windows 10 Pro machine, OS build 19041.450. All was working perfectly until one day, after a restart, Movie Studio wouldn't start and hasn't run since despite numerous restarts and attempts to reinstall, even trying an older build (build 167).

The software stalls at the splash screen while 'creating windows' get's stuck in a loop while it seems to try and generate window after window and then fails offering the option to send a report, which I have done.

Nothing on the system had changed, no updates had been taken and no drivers had updated, or changed. I am at a total loss!

I have now downloaded Movie Studio Platinum 17 and this works flawlessly, but I only have the trial for 30 days.

Any help would be welcome and gratefully received as the 'support' from VEGAS/MAGIX seems all but non-existent!
