MS 16 - Where are my Media Generators / Video Effects and Transitions

They should be there. Go to View\Window and check they are ticked.

I think they are not there because you did not bought them.
Look in the lcomparison list between the 3 versions of VMS 16 if you miss one that is listed there in the version you bought.
NB Titler is only in the suite versionand Hitfilm is not in VMS 16

Which version of Movie Studio 15 do you have? Platinum or Suite? See here section 5 Direct LInks for what the respective Download Managers can download and install. And check also the free Ignite Express.

Maybe you did not get what I wrote before.
I listed in the list of the comparison table the ones you got with VMS 16 platinum. That are besides the Vegas transitions, effects and generators only the NewBlue Transitions Ultimate. If you expected more than you are wrong.
The ones you miss since VMS 15, you can use in VMS 15, because both programs you can run at the same time and beside each other in more than 1 instance for each program.
VMS 16 platinum is not an update but an upgrade, i.c. another program with its own content.

That seems a little 'special' I got this BLUE pack included in the deal..... i.e. I have not bought additional packs.

The others are programs ( not transitions a.s.o.) and free to use ( or not to use).
DVD A is a program to make DVD or BD discs and Music Maker is another free program of Magix. The only link is the one between VMS 16 and DVD A for sending files of VMS to that disc writer.

Nothing special about your last screenshot as those apps come with VMS Platinum16. Have you installed NewBlue Transitions 5 Ultimate (only over 400 presets in 37 "compelling" plugins, do you want more?)? And in your screenshot from v.15 there is HitFilm Tool Pack. The free Ignite Express (see the link above) has over 90 FX including most of the HF TP as well.

As j-v says, you do not need to uninstall your previous versions when you upgrade to a new one. (I recommend that you do not unistall.) And we tend to have the Magix Vegas programs in the same directory, e.g. C:\Program Files\VEGAS\Movie Studio Platinum 15.0 and C:\Program Files\VEGAS\Movie Studio Platinum 16.0.

Thanks, chaps.... I'll give it a go later.... YUP, both 15 and 16 working BUT the NewBlue does not seem to FIND my 16 install. Think I might start again :)
