It would be nice to have "a switch" for the new Add / Arrange Media in the dashboard to allow users to select if they want to add media either to the Media Bin or to the Timeline directly.
It seems that this adds all clips immediately to the Timeline only

I'd suggest you take the time to go through the new tutorials from @VEGAS_CommunityManager starting with this one.
