Multiple Licences on VEGAS Pro 20

Gaz-Spitfire wrote on 4/6/2023, 10:00 AM

As an owner of Sony Vegas Pro 20 ...not 365 ..I have activated my licence once on my pc and i find i cannot open it on my other pc ..i get error 20 ..It says 2 users in my Magix login (my products ) one user 1 obviously used but it won't let me open user 2 simultaneously on my other pc .Does this mean i have to de activate one licence on my main pc? and restart the licence on my other pc which is just giving me an error 20 all the time .Or can this licence happily work on two pcs? .All i want to do is run it on two pc's simultaneously (at the same time ) but it seems all you can do is deactivate your existing licence .There is no button to add another pc or when i use my other pc it gives me error code 20 .This is perpetually hellish. So all i can assume is it runs only on one pc and not 2 as it says it does . Any help, i would be grateful.

From the main FAQ, point 9:

"How many computers can I use VEGAS Pro on?
You can use VEGAS Pro (14.0 and later) simultaneously on 2 devices. VEGAS Pro 365 can be used on 1 device at a time.

To deactivate a device, so you can activate a different one, visit your MAGIX account > My Products > Show More Details > Deactivate. This option can be used only once a month.

In VEGAS Pro 14.0 or later, you can also choose Deactivate the Software on this PC from the Help menu This option can be used as often as you wish. An internet connection is required."

Check that there are no double activation on one device. (That is reported to have happened occasionally.)

Please note that you are an owner of VEGAS Pro 20 (not "Sony Vegas").

Thank you for your swift reply i believe i have sorted it ..It was to do with copy and pasting my email in the software registration windows ,then i manually typed it ,it still didnt work ,so i tried a new email which obviously wouldn't work ,then i retyped in my old original correct email back in and it worked ! .It all appears to be all ok now .I now have it running on my two pcs. ..It might be a registration clearance cache problem in that first initialised start window.
