need help software keeps updating

I am trying to use movie studio 17 so i am trying to update and i get an error message saying that the installer is unable to update to movie studio 17.0 platinum while its running. What can i do to fix it pls help thanks

That said, exit the application.
Otherwise, download the latest build of your product from the Magix Service Center> My Products and reinstall, You should not need to uninstall VMS first. All your customizations and presets should remain untouched..

Check Task Manager to see that there are no VEGAS processes still running. Then try downloading from MAGIX Download Center entering the serial number you got from MAGIX.
